Kory Watkins, head of the Open Carry Texas group that brought out their arsenal to intimidate 4 moms eating lunch, is running for Congress. Yeah, folks, the nutters have picked another winner!

Joe Barton is the Texas congressvarmint who apologized to BP for our sand getting into their oil. He is also the guy who stopped research into into autism because he feared it would sow that pollution was the cause. No, seriously. He is that freekin’ evil. They call him Smokin’ Joe because he loves pollution. He makes the Tea Party look like bunch of liberals at a Karl Marx birthday celebration.

Okay, remember the group of wee winkie guys who protested the four women meeting for sense able gun control? Well, the agent agent provocateur of that group, Kory Watkins, has announced that he is going to run against Joe Barton in the GOP primary because Barton is not conservative enough.....

The mere fact that guy with this much of an inferiority complex is walking the street concerns me. And by concerned, I man “makes me snicker.”

4. He is an interesting mix of conservative and liberal.

Until I saw this thread I had not heard of him. His web site list his stances on various issues.

War on Drugs. The war on drugs is a complete and total failure. Our nation incarcerates four times as many people as China, yet they are ten times our population. Translation: Legalize drugs.

Hemp: I support Hemp 100%. Like the founding fathers, I would encourage all farmers to grow, and grow a bunch of it.

Privately run prisons. The prison system is a corporate business where more people equals more money.

Foreign wars: I would put America first; our past administrations, congressmen and women have not, in my opinion. Instead of securing our borders, we have been planning, initiating and waging wars of aggression. Our military is spread thin all across the world and yet we remain involved in dangerous power plays that unnecessarily put the lives of our soldiers at risk. We brazenly squandered the wealth of our nation as if there were no tomorrow. We do not have the money or man power to be the police of the world; messing in the affairs of other countries. Most of our problems, as of late, seem to be caused by blowback (an unforeseen and unwanted effect, result, or set of repercussions). If we would mind our own business, stay out of the affairs of others and protect our homeland, I truly believe we would have a lot fewer enemies. Translation: Bring the troops home - now.

Marriage Equality: I do not believe that government should have any involvement in marriage. Translation: Let gays marry.

Entitlements: But guess who gets the entitlements in Washington? The big guys get them, the rich people. They run the entitlement system, the military industrial complex, the banking system. Strong agreement from most of DU, including me.

Most of DU would agree with the above positions. Most would disagree with the below positions.

Guns: Any firearm, any place, any time; unless a privately owned business or homeowner says otherwise. Yes, I agree with that.

Abortion: It is the proper role of government to protect ALL life, unborn or born. I believe that life begins at conception. Nope, don't agree with him here.

He seems to be more Libertarian than Republican. It will be interesting to watch him.

This right wing nut job is not liberal in any sense of the word. This guy is borderline psychotic and likely needs a professional evaluation to determine if he's even safe to live outside an institution.

6. These nutcases are great at networking

They got 1 nutcase elected to a schoolboard..Sybil Lane and she is endorsing other oddballs. Eric Mahroum...running for for State Board of education and hasnt seen his kid in 6 years (not sure about his 2nd out of wedlock kid!), Kory..stalks a pro sensible gun ownership womans facebook page and shows up with 80 armed people to march agaisnt them as they eat lunch. Amy Hedtke, stalks her neighbor and posts it on youtube as well as goes into a youtube rant at a Red Oak city council meeting, the list goes on and on! They are all friends with Kory. Birds of a feather flock together. None have much education beyond a high school degree, 2 (Sybil and Kory) have arrest records, and all homeschool (well except for eric...he doesnt see his kids so if they are home schooled he wouldnt know)
