No communion for polluters, says awesome Archbishop of Naples

The Archbishop of Naples, whose name is, wonderfully, Crescenzio Sepe, does not have a lot of patience for people who pollute. Here is what he had to say about them:

Those who pollute are not in the grace of God and cannot take communion.

Wow, burn. (I mean really, burn in hell. I’m no expert on the finer points of Catholic dogma, but that does seem to be basically what he’s saying.) It makes sense, though, when you consider that he’s probably thinking of the local polluters who buried toxic, cancer-causing waste all around Naples and left it there for years. We’re pretty sure God doesn’t approve of that.

Although on the surface it makes sense who will enforce this?
