Immaculate conceptions...

another OP piece here got me to thinking...what is all this crap about single mothers being responsible for all the evils in the world? Last time I checked, you needed two, a man and a woman (as the righties love to say), to beget a kid. Where are all the single fathers and why are they being left off the hook for the horrible state of affairs we find outselves in? The Blessed Virgin Mary (who Rick Santorum probably prays to) was the last person I know of who pulled single begettinghood off all on her own.

bat shit crazy or manipulative hypocrites. Santorum and the others will use us (women, single women, etc.) to avoid speaking about the issues that are really affecting our lives because they know that they can't win on their views. Redirect and conquer!!

although they are demonized the most when certain people talk about other people needing welfare. But, they really don't like poor families either where there is a mom and a dad, somehow that family is at fault for being poor.

Immaculate conceptions are not impossible. Not a lot of research has been done on it (that I am aware of) but the possibility exists. The theory holds that the offspring would be a virtual clone of it's mother, some genetic degradation may occur. This would have made Jesus female. Unless Mary had XYY syndrome, or XXY.. or some other chromosomal disorder which might have allowed Jesus to be male.

This is all way out there on the edge of probabilities but if you want to put the odds somewhere around ten billion to one, and there are 7 billion on the planet right now.......

^snip^

Parthenogenesis ( /ˌpær?ənoʊˈdʒɛnəsɪs/) is a form of asexual reproduction where growth and development of embryos occur without fertilization. In plants, parthenogenesis means development of an embryo from an unfertilized egg cell, and is a component process of apomixis.

On August 2, 2007, after much independent investigation, it was revealed that discredited South Korean scientist Hwang Woo-Suk unknowingly produced the first human embryos resulting from parthenogenesis

You're confusing the Virgin Birth with the Immaculate Conception. In Roman Catholic doctrine, Mary was conceived by her parents without Original Sin. Mary's subsequent impregnation by the Holy Spirit is called the Virgin Birth.
