(114,904 posts)I don't care much what or who gets the discussion going.
I have posted dozens of threads on abortion that didn't get so much as a single post- such as the one this morning with very important (and rare) good news about the SCOTUS letting stand and OK SC ruling that put the brakes on banning chemical abortions.

(36,223 posts)We women exist not as full equal human beings, we exist to continually explain why we should be treated as as equals and human beings. We are here to serve!
Ignore me if you don't get it. I'm just spouting off in a round about way to very disappointing current DU events.
Sorry to be such a downer.

(36,223 posts)I want to give up in a way to. I'm completely conflicted about remaining here knowing what I know today, cause it is very much a matter of conscience, to remain and in any way support this with my time and money, or continue on trying to make some difference.

(14,537 posts)are up for debate. I mean, seriously why should a woman expect that they should have any rights over their own body?
Laws should be legislated to make others feel "comfortable" over a woman's choice on what medical procedures she agrees to.
For those who think a woman should submit to their ideas of what medical procedures she under goes. It was recommended to me in August that I have part of my intestines removed. I said no, is that ok with ya'all?

(14,537 posts)I am fine for now and maybe forever. But it was and is my complete choice that I did not have the surgery. Why would any other medical procedure be up for debate, no matter how nicely it is framed?
the right to medical procedures are a civil rights issue.
This country really needs to decide if it wants to support women or not. It is crazy. If someone doesn't like my medical choices. Fuck them. I don't make them for other people to feel comfortable. I make them because that is what is best for me. If they want to choose what medical choices I can and can not have, I get to choose theirs. It won't be pretty.
