Kanye West Says He, Kim Kardashian More Influential Than Obamas

Walt Disney, Michael Jordan and Jesus Christ are but a few of the historical icons to whom rapper Kanye West has compared himself. Now, the outspoken artist has taken things a step further, measuring his public prominence against the president of the United States.

West stopped by "On Air with Ryan Seacrest" Tuesday with a stunning case on the syndicated radio program for why he and fiancée Kim Kardashian are more influential than the first couple.

During the interview, West was frank in his assessment of his influence on popular culture. "People get really hung up in the way I word things, but I'm the best," he told Seacrest. "That's the bottom line."

Despite the self-confidence, the 36-year-old rapper expressed frustration with being held back by "classism." Such bias is not only stalling his career, he said, but is holding back his fiancée, reality star Kim Kardashian.

"Now for me, what I want to create isn't about black and white, but the reason why I'm not able to create what I want to create is about being black and is about classism," he explained. "And that's that wall when I took my girl to the Met Ball and they put it up on Vogue.com and tried to say she wasn't there because they didn't want a reality show girl there.

He's a rude, inconsiderate talentless buffoon.

His wife/fiance/girlfriend/sex partner of the moment has no reason to be famous. She's not pretty, she has no talent, she lacks taste, etiquette, compassion, and is devoid of any meaningful traits. The biggest tragedies in her life are discovering a pimple on her butt, or a broken nail.

But those are just the nicest things I can think of to say about them.

As for being more influential than the Obamas, that's a joke. The only people they have influence on are the pimple faced kids who don't vote, or the deadheads of society who don't think for themselves, and the biggest thing they have to look forward to each week is American Idol.

Educated people who think for themselves and try to contribute something to the world have respect for the Obamas, they have no respect for West and Kardashian because they've done nothing to earn any respect.

No one man should have all that power. I guess I'm just screaming like a hater, but we're living in the 21st century, so stop tripping off the power. Fuck that, world isn't yours, you're not chosen, so you can kiss my ass, Yeezy. You're too much, and should take a moment. Say goodnight to the cruel world, we'll see you in the morning. Motherfucker, get rolling.

It sold around 300,000 copies in its first week of release last June and then quickly bottomed out, taking until August to hit the 500,000 mark and basically doing nothing after that. Heck, Obama got more than three times that many people to vote for him in Georgia, a state where I'd say the President's influence is rather limited.

People like Kanye West, Kim Kardashian, Paris Hilton... all of these conspicuous consumption mascots... they're turning into relics in this culture of ludicrous wealth disparity and diminishing social mobility. People resent this sort of thing more and more.

when Datebook quoted Lennon's comments five months later, vociferous protests broke out in the southern United States. The Beatles' records were publicly burned, press conferences were cancelled and threats were made. The protest spread to other countries including Mexico, South Africa and Spain; there were anti-Beatles demonstrations and their music was banned on radio stations. The controversy erupted on the eve of the group's US tour, and the anger and scale of the reaction led their manager, Brian Epstein, to consider cancelling the tour.
