I am nearing the end of my rope with the tea baggers...

the newest incarnation of them is the "I'm in the middle" tea bagger.

They try to placate the farther right by lambasting liberals "from the middle". They pretend they are more credible because they are "in the middle".

And they are gunning for me.

The ACA, and not getting their way, has really, truly affected these people. It's like there are masks being ripped off.

Also, the meme du jour seems to be welfare, and picking on poor people. Following closely behind that is the "why should I pay for your birth control pills?" and the "giveaway culture" (combo of free cell phones and food stamps). Bill Maher did an excellent job the other night, but the teabaggers like to fight regardless of facts.

I am getting weary. But an oft repeated lie becomes the truth if you let it get repeated enough, so I will fight. Maybe I'll have a few cold ones and get back at it a little later.

Fuckers.

You know you are opposed to their views as I am sure you are countless views expressed by countless people, entities, groups, nations, religions, you name it all over the world. Let it be, relax, stay away from that which upsets you.

Because Al Gore *never* said he invented the internet. It was a quote taken out of context. He was talking about taking the initiative to insure there'd be no corporate take over...

Because Bill Clinton's aides never *trashed* the White House on the way out the door, and had we had social media at the time, that shit would have been taken down *quickly*

Because Howard Dean's scream was taken out of context.

And because lies get all the way around the world while the truth is putting on its' shoes...

That is why I get riled up. It's why I come here sometimes. Speaking truth to those lies is our civic duty, or who the hell are we and what the hell do we stand for anyway?

I ran out of rope after the elections last year when it became clear that despite Americans overwhelmingly voting for Democrats, the Baggers still didn't get it. They've really gone too far. I view them as anti-American terrorists, placing them in the same category as the monsters who delivered 9/11 to our doorstep.

No buildings have collapsed, but everything else is. Fuckers is an understatement.

It's like someone neck-deep in a pile of bullshit saying he's more reasonable than the guy to his right who's nose-deep in the pile. Perhaps technically yes, but not about the parts that are important.

Anyone saying that is trying to have it both ways, and it just ain't possible.
