Minnesota Election - November 5, 2013

Even though I'm gearing up for the 2014 mid-term elections, there's an election next Tuesday in many Minnesota jurisdictions. In St. Paul, where I live, we'll be electing the Mayor and three school board members. Turnout will be very, very low, I predict, as it usually is in these really off-cycle local elections, but the results are very important.

I just updated the website for my precinct, where I'm the DFL precinct chair. I don't do voter canvassing for this election, but hope that the voters in my precinct do show up at the polls and vote. St. Paul Mayor Chris Coleman is a shoe-in for re-election, so it is the school board election that is the real issue.

The DFL has endorsed three candidates for the school board, John Brodrick, Chue Vue, and Jean O'Connell, and I've listed them on the precinct website, too. You can visit the website, if you choose, at the link in my signature line, or at http://saintpaulw6p13.blogspot.com/

It's one of the only, if not the only, websites for an individual precinct in Minnesota. I started it several years ago, and update it when an election is coming up.
