They used actor commentators of those swept up in the "panic" using actual commentary, of course presented in glorious black and white. I especially love the woman who panicked and ended up with her friend at a New York City bar where they had a couple scotch cocktails, amongst many men, then after it was over sent a letter to Orson Welles asking for $2.10 as reimbursement for the cocktails.

This was one of the best PBS shows I've seen in a while. It was very well done.

Orson would be proud.

I am going to watch "The Third Man" tonight in his honor.
