My Exchange with a Teahadist (claims I'm in an alternate reality)

First off, when I'm in an argument, I rarely go off and get down in the gutter. I like to argue with substance, but lately, I've just had enough of these fuckers. I'm "HeisenbergKnocking80".

Free markets create wealth and prosperity for the ordinary person. The free market created the middle class. And the slow destruction of the free market is slowly destroying the middle class.

The New Deal created the middle class. Ask your grands, go on.

I hope this is a bad joke. We had a middle class throughout the roaring twenties, and indeed far before then even.

The roaring twenties? The Gilded age, where there were very few that were massively wealthy, and a very many that were massively poor. Sure, buddy.

Can't reason with someone who lives in an alternate reality. There was a substantial middle class during that time. If you disagree... Have a good one.

Ha, yeah. The rampant speculation, deregulation, and oppression of Labor that gave us that great moment in history in 1929. Yeah, that epic era that brought in what is called The Great Depression, punchy.
Agreed, you have an alternate reality. Now go suck Rand's cock. Not Rand Paul's, but Ayn's.

And here's a .pdf discussion of the American middle class. Suggesting that America has always had a middle class in some form. (History. It's whats for supper!)

What middle class? Just as the old adage says, the wealthy few held a disproportion share of the wealth, and after decades of increasing income inequality the unstable economy finally crashed and gave us the Great Depression.

We never really had a successful middle class until the postwar boom brought new industries and new methods of production that led to prosperity for working class Americans.

It didn't last. The investment class has been busily chipping away at infrastructure that supports middle class prosperity ever since.
