The amount of traffic we send their way is insignificant. They won't notice if we ban links to them.

If you want the feeling of a satisfying "FU" to reddit, go ahead, but it won't accomplish anything else.

anything left leaning. We don't want people influenced only by the right, especially the younger folks. It's important when sites like Reddit and Digg cut off left leaning political views. We're talking about millions of viewers every day.

If looks like one sub reddit does not want DU... And a crap load of other sites both left and right... To be used. I still see no real reason to give a shit.

Their reasoning for SOME sites is that it is not original content and the link should be to such (example, why link to a story on DU that is a repost of one from cnn?).

I think they went way way over board - and keep in mind each sub reddit has it's own mods, so this does not affect any of the many other reddits (mine does not allow others to post stories, I use it for the station).

The mods will probably change their minds on some, but more than likely some group will just start their own politics subreddit.
