How did Reagan "let" them die?
That was during a time in my life when I was not folloiwng much news.

...during the middle of a civil war. Their barracks were blown up by a huge truck bomb and Reagan immediately withdrew from Beirut. 241 Marines were killed.

Reagan then ordered the Navy to lob bombs into Beirut from the war ships. Reportedly, the bombs were the size of Volkswagens.

Then, immediately thereafter, Reagan invaded Grenada and rescued American students, in an heroic manner...

My husband was still in the Marine corps back then and for a week I didn't know if he was alive or dead. Finally I received a call from a reporter (Bernard Shaw) who called to tell me he was alive. I can't believe that this anniversary was totally ignored. My heart is still breaking for the families of those Marines who were killed.
