(21,758 posts)The crying about this here on DU is pretty disturbing to me... I'm not surprised to see it on freeper type sites but it is a surprise to see it here.

(154,021 posts)It's accurate insofar as eggs are concerned. I am positive Connie would be a good mom

(39,961 posts)The only thing he could say was my name. And he said it incessantly It was when I was a child. I thought my mom was calling me, I'd get out of the shower, it was the bird. I was tired, he shrieked my name, I thought my mom was calling me. He hollered my name so many times, I can't imagine why he wasn't hoarse. He sounded just like my mom calling for me, too, so I guess that's why I always responded and Spencer always screamed it to get my attention.
I had him for many, many years. He was a riot when he danced around with little toys, a mirror and a bath.

nadinbrzezinski
(154,021 posts)Cookie is a Nanday conure and Connie a sun conure.
They don't like each other, so little danger of actual nest and eggs
Aerows
(39,961 posts)They are so beautiful and smart! Too expensive for me, but just absolutely gorgeous. Nanday conures I'm not very familiar with, other than their coloration. Sun conures are so gorgeous.

(154,021 posts)But he is the brains of the outfit, and has mischievous cornered.
He does not like Connie since he was bonded with the tiel, and Connie was mean to him. He was the runt, but the alpha.

(39,961 posts)They are wonderful birds, but expensive as hell. Gorgeous as all get out. Loud. LOUD. Deafen a Cockatiel loud, but gorgeous, friendly and smart. You are quite lucky to have one .

(154,021 posts)But they are what they are. One thing is full personality packages. We got Connie in Hawaii. The other two could not come. If they had we would have not gotten Connie
