The teacher followed up that post with another message, clarifying that he “welcomes people who come from dangerous neighborhoods to mine, so their children can safely trick or treat.” However, he warned, bad behavior will not be tolerated.

‘Your [sic] are a CRIMINAL and are not welcome in my neighborhood and you should not be welcome in your own!” he wrote. “THAT IS WHY YOU HAVE COME TO MINE TO TRICK OR TREAT. Do not treat my neighborhood like you do your own. I HAVE THE RIGHT NOT TO BE LIKE YOU.”

This is white privilege. If a white teenager pees on a telephone pole, the problem is that specific white teenager. But if an African American teenager pees on a telephone pole, it is viewed as an indication of the behavior of all African Americans.

Why does this person bring the race of the offender into it? The offender is behaving in the fashion of a shit-stain, but gratuitously jumping to racial stereotypes and slurs is basically like saying that all people of the offender's race or social status are also shit-stains who are somehow complicit in his decision to be a shit-stain.

The teacher could just as easily have condemned the behavior without throwing in racial slurs. It isn't about how those racial slurs hurt the one guy who did actually piss on a telephone pole. It's about how they hurt all the people who didn't. I've seen plenty of white guys pee in places they shouldn't and my reaction to their personally being disgusting had nothing to do with their race.

4. Pissing on someone's front lawn in broad view

is and should be illegal. It is a health hazard, and encourages others to drop their pants and do the same. If you are looking for sympathy about why someone wants to call the police when people drop their drawers in full view and do their business, don't look at me because I have none. There is a reason why toilets include doors so that people don't have to watch you do the things we all have to do, and there are sinks so you can wash your hands afterwards.

I live in the woods so guys go out to pee on trees all the time, but there's some space and distance there, so it isn't like you're gonna run up on that tree before rain washes it away (or before some other critter pisses on it anyway). 52. well, they weren't from my neighborhood, they were obviously very poor, and there's three

high rise projects within a few miles from the house. it's common practice for people who live in , let's say, unsavory neighborhoods, to take their kids trick or treating in a safer place. so call it a very educated guess.

i'm not disparaging anybody, there's quite a few rough areas here; it would be insane to take a little kid out at night in those parts of the city. I think it's a smart move on the parents part. I don't give a shit if they're brown bagging it on the sidewalk while the kids to up to the houses.
