TKO-Sen Reid's Response To Sen Coburn's comment Monday in which he called Reid an "absolute a--hole"

CAITLIN MACNEAL – OCTOBER 29, 2013

Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid's (D-NV) office responded on Tuesday to Sen. Tom Coburn's (R-OK) comment on Monday in which he called Reid an "absolute a--hole."

"Nothing says 'comity' like childish playground name-calling, especially from a senator who has not sponsored a single piece of successful bipartisan legislation during his entire Senate career," Reid's spokesman Adam Jentleson told the Hill.

Found this gem in the comments:

rs says: You know, at this point, the measure of respect Republicans demand rides right up against the votes they cast to cause our nation to default, and to crash the economy. Sorry, boys- you don't deserve respect. Holding our nation hostage to your narrow, radical, partisan ideology is no virture. You are wannabe domestic terrorists, no more, no less- perhaps if you get treated as such you'd figure out just how little Americans agree with you.... and stop playing stupid partisan games.

to find out this

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Federal_Funding_Accountability_and_Transparency_Act_of_2006

Obviously, this does not mean he has cosponsored many others (probably not), but these types of stupid comments ruin a good answer.

Unfortunately, because Coburn deserves our total scorn for his total idiocy.

The bill was introduced by Senator Tom Coburn, for himself and Senators Barack Obama, Tom Carper and John McCain on April 6, 2006.[1] After two "secret holds" placed by Senators Ted Stevens, a Republican, and Robert Byrd, a Democrat were revealed and removed,[4][5] it was passed unanimously in the Senate on September 7, 2006 and by the House on September 13, 2006. The bill was signed into law by President George W. Bush on September 26, 2006.[6]

On June 3, 2008, Senator Obama, along with Senators Carper, Coburn and McCain, introduced follow-up legislation: Strengthening Transparency and Accountability in Federal Spending Act of 2008.[7]

I fervently hope, with every fiber of my being, for Coburn to stand up in the well of the Senate of The United States before the entire country and say that Sen. Harry Reid was wrong.

Because Coburn has indeed sponsored *one* piece of successful legislation in his career that was passed with bipartisan support.

Rupublican dingleberries don't call their opponents "assholes" unless they're really frustrated and very pissed off.

And the response from Reid's office will only piss the little twerp off more!!

Non-stop filibusters immediately followed McConnell's public statement that his "number one job was to make Obama a one term president". "Coburn did however charge that Reid has "done more damage to the senate than any majority leader."

Yes the babies that they are want to blame Reid and all the democrats for "destroying the Republican Party" that they are actually in the process of doing all by themselves.

Meanwhile, back a the House: "Representative Raúl R. Labrador of Idaho told a Heritage Foundation forum on Wednesday that “it would be crazy” for House Republicans now to negotiate with the president on immigration, because “he’s trying to destroy the Republican Party.”

There is something very wrong with them.

Verbal jousting at this level is the equivalent of fencing duels, as practiced centuries ago... Kind of. In a way...

(Compared to the level of Fux Spews, for example, which is more similar to jr. High school cliques and the petty nastiness and bullying, or some college fraternities and their anti-social power rituals)
