Seattle’s Cheezburger delivering kittens, plus cupcakes
Talk about a meow mix.
Seattle humor site Cheezburger is teaming up with on-demand ride service Uber in a kitten delivery service promotion today, which happens to be National Cat Day.
For $20, the companies will deliver a kitten to people in Seattle, San Francisco and New York for a 15-minute visit. The kittens are accompanied by pet-shelter volunteers, who will provide information about adopting cats.
To sweeten the deal, the delivery includes a Cheezburger-topped cupcake created by “Ace of Cakes” chef Duff Goldman.
Cheezburger also is making additional donations to participating animal shelters.
The on-demand kitty service is available through the Uber app today from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
