The Wall Street Journal published an anti-Obamacare op-ed by Suzanne Somers on Monday that’s provoking sustained criticism—including from the Wall Street Journal, which has already issued several corrections to the piece.

Billing herself as a “writer of 24 books mostly on health and wellness,” the former Three’s Company star declared the Affordable Care Act a massive Ponzi scheme, arguing it disincentivizes doctors and will deny elderly people care. Somers also cited an old issue of Maclean’s that featured a dog on the cover to warn that Canadian medical students were training to become veterinarians rather than doctors due to the pay disparity (more on the dog later). And as evidence that premiums are doubling or tripling, Somers wrote that it was “all you are hearing on the news.”


Can I ask something?? Who first started posting this "meme" about the Canadian Healthcare system?? How come you never hear from Canadians that they hate the system so much?? Oh and if the system was/is so bad, why were so many Americans crossing the "border" to get pharmaceuticals?? You know, I guess if you keep repeating a lie so many times, people really will believe it. We really need a better education system in this country . . .

She's certifiable, and her books have probably resulted in people DYING due to improper cancer treatment.
