Imagine you had a database that contained the records of virtually all the bills for all the telephones in America and the programs and computer power to find out just about anything they could tell you, what would you try to find out?
How about the phone numbers of all the stock brokers in the US and the UK, the telephone numbers used even occasionally by all of the members of Congress and their aides and all of the White House staff, let's call them the government surveillees, and the records of every call from every number of a surveillee to every number of a stock broker, the date and time and length of the call. That would tell an interesting story I dare say.
What would you want to find out?
