Aasif Mandvi may have uttered the funniest impromptu line I've ever heard with, "you know that we can hear you, right?"
And in an interview that made national news, to boot.
I'm sure it has been posted before, and hopefuly will be posted again, but in case anyone missed it... worth every moment.

While I'm not a pirate at heart, I'd say such a thing requires learning bit torrent or some other file sharing. You should not be without The Daily Show or The Colbert Show. If you are native European, then those two and MSNBC are the only ways you might, might believe just a little, that a few of us aren't provincial idiots.

(101,352 posts)The Daily Show used to be on free broadcast digital TV here, but they dropped it - not getting the viewing figures, I guess . Now it's only on a truly obscure channel that you have to subscribe via cable or satellite to get. There is a British 'Daily Show' website, but they only put about 1 minute's worth of video on it a day - usually a boring bit from the celeb interview. They annoying thing is that they aren't really driving extra viewers to subscribe to the obscure channel, I reckon - I don't think many would pay the price just for TDS. I'm happy to watch an ad or two on the video feed before it begins.
The Firefox 'modify headers' add-on used to get round the block, but then they did something that detects that too. If I remember, I use the Mediaite website which usually puts the lead story - about 8 minutes - up, and, until about 2pm UK time, it has its video feed for it that works. After that, they switch it to the Comedy Central one, which detects I'm British.
I'm sure there is some torrent/etc. workaround, but it seems a lot of work to get it. I'm also wary of viruses etc. from these methods of circumventing normal protocols from people or groups you don't really know.

(27,985 posts)Great and worth waiting for. Aasif Mandvi is an okay actor, but fantastic commentator/comic. He's my second favorite person on that show and has been for a while.
