I want to thank DU, it's members, and the administrators for a great site. I come here to learn, and have learned a lot from DU.
Not just news and facts, but a bit about myself too. The posters here, on both sides of issues, have spurred me to contemplate
many things. I like that DU is so on top of the news; things I read here don't hit the newspapers or TV shows for days.
From political to social to entertaining and fun, this site has been a place to enjoy.
It took me quite a while to hit 10,000, since 2005, but I'd rather sit back and read the posts of smarter people than myself.
Thanks DU and now let's GOTV in '14!

For news there is no equal that I have seen. DUers from all over the world keep us updated on everything from earthquakes
to intricate financial dealings. A lot of the stuff on here goes over my head, but it has educated me quite a bit.
Kudos to the admins who keep the order.

4. I have to sometimes catch myself out in public or at work

when I get frustrated that other people don't know about this and that. I remind myself not everyone knows of a site that usually breaks a story wide open, before the M$M does!
