Detroit mailman saves familys burning home, continues his route.

DETROIT (WJBK) -
He won't admit it but one Detroit neighborhood mailman is a hero now. "I wouldn't say a hero," Darrian Crutcher says, hoping to set the record straight. But others see it differently.

Tuesday morning Detroit firefighters responded to a house fire on Stansbury Street. When they arrived they found Crutcher upstairs putting the fire out with the home's garden hose.

you wouldn't see a Fed Ex, DHL or UPS employee doing that or if they did the company would either fire them or dock their pay for the amount of time they were helping.

My boyfriend is a Fed Ex courier (and lifelong VERY liberal democrat with very liberal parents) and I KNOW he absolutely WOULD jump in to help like that. I can't speak for the second part of your statement about the companies' reactions after the fact, but don't you dare lump all employees of those companies together like you just did.

I am saying the fucking corporations would get on them and penalize them. Private business to me is evil..it's there take as much money people at the least amount of cost to the company!

Because my boyfriend is an "individual employee" of Fed Ex and he would do that on the clock, on his route, if he encountered something like that.

Then they'll add to his route, since he's obviously been dogging it out there if he has time to stop and battle fires.
