I really expected more from him after the 2008 campaign. I think that most of the problems he's had while in office can be traced to that first Congress of his presidency. They made some serious mistakes when prioritizing which issues to handle first, and those mistakes have made the rest of his time in office so problematic. The only good I can see that will come from all those problems is that maybe we'll see the destruction of the GOP and a repudiation of their worst ideas.

Obama is a corporate rightwinger economically, and somewhat
moderate socially. This was DLC, along with Emmanuel as his
main support.

They fired Howard Dean and the 50 state strategy as well.
