Tax increases can easily be ended.

Reps and enough Dems always vote to cut taxes.

But entitlement cuts will not be changed for a long time, if ever.

Don't the chowder heads at the White House realize they are trading a temporary tax on the wealthy for permanent pain on the folks least likely to be able to handle it?

Trading two things for each other "in a compromise" that Obama wants independent of each other and the GOP wants independent of each other?

We need to be clear on this.

President Obama supports "entitlement reform."
John Boehner supports "entitlement reform."
Mitch McConnell supports "entitlement reform."
Ted Cruz supports "entitlement reform."

President Obama supports "tax increases."
John Boehner supports "closing tax loopholes." (which is a backdoor tax-increase)
Mitch McConnell supports "closing tax loopholes." (which is a backdoor tax-increase)
Ted Cruz supports "closing tax loopholes." (which is a backdoor tax-increase)

Trading entitlement reforms for tax increases isn't a trade, it's all the insiders getting together and patting each other on the backs for getting all of what all of them want and making look like a hard-won compromise to the American people on both sides.

There's only one side in DC...and we ain't on it.
