I wonder if it's because the program is now run by the senior journalist ladies. He wasn't missed nor did he have a warm send off when he left NPR, some said he was too much of a narcissist and "know-it-all" and made plenty of enemies while he was there. I wonder if something similar was the reason. He may have been upset that he now had female superiors and/or that he wasn't chosen for one of the tops spots so to speak.

He may be a "know it all", but he really does his research and knows a lot. I quit listening when Juan Williams took over that time slot. I would guess he didn't have as much latitude on PBS. He was always well prepared and asked great questions. If he had enemies they were probably people who didn't work as hard.

that he had issues with the NPR team and I was simply wondering about the lady thing. I thought he was a good journalist but that doesn't excuse a bad attitude with coworkers if that was the case.

Never met the guy, he did have some good reporting going on... maybe he thought he deserved a promotion he didn't get, maybe he has some better offer to pursue.
