Just got this email and it's just great

Think she's Pissed?

Alan Simpson, the Senator from Wyoming , calls senior citizens 'the GreediestGeneration' as he compared "Social Security " to a Milk Cow with 310 million teats.

Here's a response in a letter from PATTY MYERS in Montana ...I think she is a littleticked off but, she also tells it like it is!

"Hey Alan, let's get a few things straight!!

1. As a career politician, you have been on the public dole (tit) for FIFTY YEARS.

2. I have been paying Social Security taxes for 48 YEARS (since I was 15 years old. I am now 63).

3. My Social Security payments, and those of millions of other Americans, were safely tucked away in aninterest bearing account for decades until you political pukes decided to raid the account and give OUR money to abunch of zero losers in return for votes, thus bankrupting the system and turning Social Security into a Ponzi schemethat would make Bernie Madoff proud.

4. Recently, just like Lucy & Charlie Brown, you and "your ilk" pulled the proverbial football away from millions ofAmerican seniors nearing retirement and moved the goalposts for full retirement from age 65 to age, 67. NOW, youand your "shill commission" are proposing to move the goalposts YET AGAIN.

5. I, and millions of other Americans, have been paying intoMedicare from Day One, and now "youmorons" propose to change the rules of the game. Why? Because "you idiots" mismanaged other parts of the economyto such an extent that you need to steal our money from Medicare to pay the bills.

6. I, and millions of other Americans, have been paying income taxes our entire lives, and now youpropose to increase our taxes yet again. Why? Because you "incompetent bastards" spent OUR money so profligatelythat you just kept on spending even after you ran out of money. Now, you come to the American taxpayers and say youneed more to pay off YOUR debt.

To add insult to injury, you label us "greedy" for calling "bullshit" to your incompetence. Well, Captain Bullshit, Ihave a few questions for YOU:

1. How much money have you earned from the American taxpayers during your pathetic 50-year politicalcareer?

2. At what age did you retire from your pathetic political career, and how much are you receiving in annual retirementbenefits from the American taxpayers?

3. How much do you pay for YOUR government provided health insurance?

4. What cuts in YOUR retirement and healthcare benefits are you proposing in your disgusting deficit reduction proposal,or as usual, have you exempted yourself and your political cronies?

It is you, Captain Bullshit, and your political co-conspirators called Congress who are the "greedy" ones. It is you and yourfellow nutcase thieves who have bankrupted America and stolen the American dream from millions of loyal, patriotic taxpayers.

And for what? Votes and your job and retirement security at our expense, you lunk-headed, leech.

That's right, sir. You and yours have bankrupted America for the sole purpose of advancing your pathetic,
political careers. You know it, we know it, and you know that we know it. And you can take that to the bank, youmiserable son of a bitch. NO, I did not stutter!

P.S.And stop calling Social security benefits "entitlements". WHAT AN INSULT!! I have been paying into the SS systemfor 52 years! "It's my money" - give it back to me the way the system was originally designed and stop pattingyourself on the back like you are being generous by doling out these monthly checks.

EVERYONE!!!If you like the way things are in America deletethis. If you agree with what Patty Myers, says, please PASS IT ON!!!!

3. The change in the age for full social security,

meaning the age at which you can not only collect social security but earn as much as you want without losing any ss, was changed around 20 years ago. Any future changes will have an equally long lead-in time.

To me, the worst problem is that too many young people have been sold the bill of goods that "Social Security won't be there when I retire." I'm now 65, and I want to tell you that 40 years ago people my age were saying that. I kept on telling them, "No, Social Security WILL be there. We may need to find a way to increase the funding, but it will be there. Unless, of course, you understand the concept of self-fulfilling prophecy."

The other thing with ss is the people who found a way to avoid paying into it, by being paid in cash and finding some way to underreport their income. Surprise, you guys! Now you've made it to your mid or late 60's, and you're shocked, just shocked to discover that your Social Security payment won't be very much. Please understand. You do have to pay into the system to get money back out.

Alan Simpson was not a class enemy. He was, however, known for speaking colorfully and sometimes shooting from the hip. He was wrong about the Cow.

6. Hey Patty! Let's get one thing straight!

This thing you speak of, this "interest bearing account" that our Social Security funds were somehow locked up in? It's a right-wing fabrication.

Social Security has ALWAYS worked by selling bonds against the taxpayers' Social Security tax deductions. It's how the system was designed to work in the first place. See, this is how business, specifically the banking business, works: they take in deposits, loan those deposits to people and charge interest. The interest payments are what we sane people call Profit. In the case of Social Security, these profits go toward giving beneficiaries more money.

How come it is that the people who scream loudest for the government to run like a business are supremely and permanently pissed off at the one part of the government that actually does?

Example:

"Class warfare? Damned straight. I sure hope to God that the 99% start fighting back soon. They've taken far too many casualties at the hands of the plutocrats."

2.5 trillion dollars ( surplus) gone from the trust fund. A surplus that was increased when baby boomer's started paying higher SS tax. This was to compensate for the increase future SS payments. Had it been left alone things would be fine but in typical politician fashion it was squandered on other stuff.
Now we baby boomer's are ask to pony up more!
Yes I agree with everything she wrote! This of course won't matter a hill of beans to the politicians who are set for life and have sold their soul to corporations and lobbyists. Now being wealthy from payoffs they are set for life ( May they rest in hell).
