Five More Advertisers Drop Rush Limbaugh, Bringing Total To 20

Five More Advertisers Drop Rush Limbaugh, Bringing Total To 20

By Judd Legum on Mar 6, 2012 at 10:00 am

Five more companies have announced they will pull their advertisements from Rush Limbaugh’s radio show, bringing the total number to 20.

Although Rush Limbaugh apologized to Sandra Fluke on Saturday, he also continued his sexist attacks on the Georgetown Law student. Yesterday, Fluke said Limbaugh’s apology — which came after three days of attacks — “doesn’t change anything.”

Advertisers apparently agree, because more than a dozen have dropped Limbaugh’s show since the announcement. The five latest are AccuQuote Life Insurance, Service Magic, PolyCom, Hadeed Carpet, and Thompson Creek.

You can check out ThinkProgress’ complete list of companies that have dropped Rush @ link~

Are these sponsors/advertisers terminating their ads for good or just 'temporarily suspending ' their ads? BIG DIFFERENCE. If they suspend their ads for 30 days or until this all blows over then it doesn't mean shit. I want these companies to leave and never come back. This needs to be clarified.

Maybe the business sells those.

Even at that, if they're just selling standard wall-to-wall at volume, it's quite affordable to buy a chunk of ad time on a national program, that is only aired in a regional market. While Hadeed is shilling carpets to people in their sphere, some other business is hawking some other crap elsewhere at the very same time.

Rush's ship is now taking on water and he is scared that his good ship
S.S. Oxy might really sink.

I might have to listen to his opening to see that fat pig squirm and beg for his job.

Oh well, Rush has been spreading hate and anger against "those people"
for years and now the old karma train is coming and he is tied to the
R x R track. I will always remember Rush's joy on covering Bill Clinton's
B.J. hearings .... I hope he is in a world of hurt.

He's a multimillionaire well on the way to being a billionaire. He could be fired today, fined for 90% of his wealth and still live happily ever after.

I'll settle with us living in a world of less hate with him just taken off the air at this point though.

If her were a happy man he would not do what he does. He hates himself and hides from it spilling his bile on other human beings.

...one by one, as each advertiser drops Limbaugh, they are posting that the advertiser's products and/or services "suck."

I'd feel sorry for them if I wasn't so busy laughing my ass off.

rather out of it. I rarely listen to commercial radio and even more rarely to the Rush show, but I'm travelling on business in NC/VA and was going through the stations and ended up listening to his show for a while. He seemed very disoriented and disconnected. He called Rick Santorum the former senator from Texas, and couldn't even recall Ron Paul's name. Seems like he may be seeking chemical relief from the stress he's under.
