Food stamp benefits going down before the holidays

I cannot help but wonder if no extension to this was capitulate to the GOP....

Millions of American families could face a sparse holiday table when food stamps benefits get reduced in November, and that could be just the start of deeper cuts to the program to feed poor families.

The modern-day food stamp plan, now called the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program, is scheduled to scale back benefits for all recipients on Nov. 1 because a recession-era boost in benefits is expiring.

...and the Republicon War on Women, and on Truth, Integrity and Honor. For a pack of chickenhawks, Republicons sure are busy making WAR on all the things that are worthwhile about America.

The profits go to a food pantry whose job is to provide food for the needy. The recipients of our support are disabled, shut in or in some way unable to shop for themselves.

One of my co-volunteers is a welfare recipient. She has two children and gets food stamps. She is a hard worker and earns every penny she gets from the food stamp program. I hope nothing changes for her or the millions of others who, for one reason or another, must take advantage of food stamps.

She has 2 great kids. They should not pay the price of political shenanigans.

And yet she volunteers to help others. I wonder what the Kochroaches would think of that.
