When they are forced to hire the lowest bidder, you don't always get the package you need or the service you need. It is what it is, they will fix it and work with it I'm sure. It may end up costing more due to the "fix" and the people needed to fix it.

long standing government contract to the lowest bidder. What a joke. The company awarded the contract is completely clueless, has no expertise in this area, and no staff. They will not find it easy to hire competent, experienced people willing to take a big pay cut. The work, which the Navy relies on, will simply not get done or will quickly turn into a mess. Meantime my husband and a bunch of other dedicated hard working people whose efforts have been praised have been handed pink slips because the contracts office cares only about the bottom line - not the results. Frequently you get what you pay for. Penny wise, pound foolish.

know how to count beans. The ability of a company being awarded a contract to actually do the work is not even a consideration.
