Police domestic violence nearly twice average rate

Kevin Fagan, Chronicle Staff Writer Published 4:00 am, Sunday, January 15, 2012

Law enforcement officers beat their wives or girlfriends at nearly double the rate of the rest of the population, and trying to control that is not only difficult for the victims but potentially deadly, experts say.

would never abuse their authority nor otherwise act in an unlawful manner in the performance of their official duties. Surely not, 'cause a good egg is a good egg.

People who are drawn to that line of work do so not because of any noble desire to protect and serve. It has been painfully obvious for years that the main draw for cops is the desire to abuse and control.

The entire video is a good watch, informative. But my personal favorite is at 4:15 or so. When the van rolls over and the driver is dumped on the ground unmoving. The police helpfully begin to pummel him in case he had a couple bone that were not broken and any flesh that was absent contusions.
