Limbaugh: GOP Most 'Irrelevant' Political Party I Can Remember"I was trying to think earlier today if ever in my life I could remember any major political party being so irrelevant," Limbaugh said on his radio show. "I have never seen a major political party simply occupy placeholders, as the Republican party is doing."

(32,017 posts)That's rather absurd. That "irrelevant" party just shut down the government and took us to the brink of default--hardly what I would describe as irrelevant.

(17,656 posts)It was great listening to Rush hit all the high notes and whine like a 4-banger trying to pull the load of an 8-cylinder.
He was grinding his teeth as he lashed out at the "worthless Republicans who accomplished nothing."
I guess he really believed all that junk they were spewing about how President Obama was going to repeal Obamacare if Boehnor didn't pass a federal budget this month.
Occupy Placeholders was the best line of his screed, though.
I think Occupy Placeholders is exactly what the conservative movement had in mind when they bought all of those Tea Party seats in the House in 2010, hoping against hope that Mitt would somehow upset President Obama's re-election chances last year.
Since that didn't happen, they are indeed just "placeholders" . . at least for another 14 months, or so, anyhow.
