The finger is aimed at the teabaggers. They deserve it.

(146,317 posts)Really. Now, despite the fact that any Jesus who might have existed would not have had blue eyes, being in charge of the universe doesn't seem like much of a bad deal, I guess. It you believe any of that stuff in the first place, of course.
The blue-eyed Jesus meme is so wrong, and in so many ways. I'm ecstatic that we won this round. What I'm hoping is that intelligent people who have been voting for Republicans will change their ways. I'm not going to give them the finger. That trick never works.
You will do whatever you want. I don't have to go along with it. I stopped giving people the finger in junior high.
Look at what a success you have been?
I am a Christian. Christianity is based upon doing good things for people. The fake Christians who are killing this country need the finger from real Christians. They understand symbols. They believe in the blue-eyed Christ. I say let them have it. With both hands!

(146,317 posts)I can't see how that matters at all. Giving people the finger is a childish sort of insult. It never accomplishes anything worthwhile, but can lead to hardening of the other person's point of view.
You can look at the people elected from my Minnesota precinct and district. That's the success I have, since I've worked to help make that happen. I haven't done that by giving anyone the finger, either.

(13,685 posts)You do know what symbolic means?
Pissing off and aggravating teabaggers and their ilk these days is good democratic party politics. Join in, why don't you?

(146,317 posts)I'm not going to join the finger-giving crowd. I don't do that.
But, please proceed, Mr. Earl.

What would Jesus do? He would probably go to prison for laying on of hands, and performing healings, without a medical licence. Wouldn't want to give free heath care and deprive some practitioner of a fat fee.
