The tea party was killed today

The tea party voters demanded the total eradication of Obamacare even if the nation was destroyed in the process. That isn't happening, so I think the teabaggers will take their balls and go home without voting for congressmen ever again.

This is like the second time in the nearly 15 years since they started stockpiling in their bunkers that they don't actually get a post-apocalyptic world.

sadly, their districts are the problem. will they have the realization their congressional rep is a tool, and vote in someone with half a lick of sense?

they'll be taken in again by rhetoric against two dudes getting hitched, or babies being cracked in half and sucked out of the womb, etc and put the same knuckle-dragging fools back in. the seats I think we can pick up and gain the majority are predominately in less red areas than where those teahadists reign...

The RW echo chamber/PR machine will just dredge up another RW bullshit (or maybe I should say elephant shit) movement.

Chances are, it's already in the works.

They got shot in the ass but they still have a strong pulse. Additionally, America typically thrives on short-term memory only. We will need to constantly keep them reminded of these antics and drama by the teabaggers.

Now, that means the Republicans will start having trouble in general elections, but the teabaggers will vote.

It's already had enough near death experiences to keep "Coast to Coast AM" occupied for the next decade.

with the not-so-subtle. Heh heh heh (George Noory's fake laugh). And John B. Wells is ten times worse, and more obvious.

I've found a number of decent podcasts to fill my paranormal talk void; people who aren't pushing a RW agenda or are even on the liberal side politically. I have had fun with that on my iPhone.

The grass roots supporters of the tea party are alive and well. Wall Street and the business community may be more reluctant to give these idiots money now but these idiots will still have power so long as they can primary the more sane members of the GOP and win these primaries.

Ted Cruz raised a great deal of money during this mess and he can help some tea party types run in GOP primaries in order to increase the numbers of idiots willing to eat dinner with him at Tortilla Coast.

They've suffered a defeat, and hurt the republican party in the process. But such setbacks tend to be temporary, many voters have memory comparable to that of fruit flies, and the big money behind the right-wing media hasn't started working its apologetics and counter-accusations yet. If this translates to a draw, let alone a win, in next year's elections, I'll be quite pleasantly surprised.

They'll just try to figure out how to get around whatever it was that stopped them this time. They're just sneaky little cowardly shits.
