So once the deal is signed...

...here's what the Democrats need to do next: start politicking for (a) a bigger budget (not the sequestration-level one we get with this deal); (b) higher taxes on the rich; (c) raise the Social Security cap; (d) lower the age of eligibility for Social Security; (e) anything else we would really like.

Then when the deal making starts again in January, instead of giving them the stripped-down budget they wanted anyway, we can actually extract concessions from those assholes -- or at the very least, not give them ANY AT ALL.

That's what I think we need to do.

and that's why I'm worried. The time between now and Dec. 13 would be the perfect time for the Grand Bargain to show that the shutdown has finally spawned the era of bipartisanship.
