Tea Party Nation Whines "The Complete Surrender of the Republican Party"

Tea Party Nation Whines "The Complete Surrender of the Republican Party"

by FishOutofWater

Thank you, President Obama for just saying no to the Tea Party extortionists. You can't negotiate with extremists who hold America hostage in a brazen attempt to nullify two presidential elections. This victory is sweet. Judson Phillips, owner of Tea Party Nation just melted down.

Barack Obama demanded unconditional surrender from the Republican Party.

He pretty much got it.

The Republican Party has capitulated on the central issue of Obamacare. Mitch McConnell and John Boehner never wanted this fight. In true RINO fashion, they wanted to surrender early and often. ....

In short, the GOP got nothing from their fight. But then again, McConnell, Boehner and the GOP establishment never tried.

With the implosion of the Obamacare roll out, they had the perfect opportunity. The GOP should have been parading real Americans in front of the cameras every day to talk about how they have lost health insurance coverage thanks to Obamacare or how they cannot find full time work thanks to Obamacare.

What did the GOP?

It caved totally and completely. And the GOP leadership does not care.

The government shutdown is pushed back until January and the debt ceiling until February.

Does anyone believe either McConnell or Boehner will have the intestinal fortitude to go to the mat with Obama again? It does not matter what Obama demands, these two will cave, guaranteeing it will pass.

I have been a Republican since I was 13 years old in 1972, putting out yard signs for Richard Nixon.

Don’t call me a Republican today. It is an insult and it just might be fighting words.

Mr. Phillips, The Republican party just threw you overboard ass over teakettle. Bye bye.

I read Redstate so you don't have to.

Listen, pal. Let me explain something to you. What the Tea Party has
done is spawned some of the great Americans who are speaking truth to
the masses. People like Sarah Palin. Go read her Facebook updates and
try to tell me with a straight face that she isn't winning hearts and
minds. She has millions of followers who look to her to articulate a
vision and provide clarity to a movement. This movement is going
places. Once we clear out the driftwood in the House and bring in more
people who share this vision, the old, dead, RINO GOP guard will be
gone. It may take time, but the winning of elections is coming. Mark my words

If we can convince more Republicans follow this advice then 2014 will be a year of rainbows and magic ponies for me and my fellow Democrats.

Here's another comment from the same poster that also helps further explain their thinking:

Kentucky can go to hell in a handbasket. The people there are flocking to the ACA. We should bring to this fight the discipline of the union workers who hold firm on their strikes and suffer on principle. There can be no worse patriotic move right now than to sign up for Obamacare just to save a few hundred bucks a month. It will end up costing America much more than that.

Takes a minute to truly unpack that one. Everyone who might save money using Obamacare is unpatriotic, destroying America and deserves to rot in Hell for all eternity. Almost wish this was some kind of a liberal plant but the problem is I've met people who think just like this. From the polling it appears the country is finally waking up to the ugly truth of it.

7. These Teabag Geniuses really thought the GOP would trash the markets and the global economy for 'em?

Guess what, bub. You're useful only insofar as you can march down to the polling booth and vote for legislators who will support a capital gains tax.

The minute you start hitting their bottom line, all that teabag nonsense about stopping teh gays and moooslams, outlawing the teaching of evolution, and putting women in prison for using birth control goes right the fuck out the window.

8. Folks, this isn't over. We only have a reprieve until January. If the Republican failure today shows

us anything is that they probably have nothing to lose in January. They will just have to frame their lies better and be prepared to have their bought and paid for news sources crank up the propaganda machine. There will be political landmines and traps waiting for that sound bite from Obama or democratic congressperson to throw out of context and advertise fifty times per day. We can't kid ourselves, this is just the first of many fights Their sole goal for January will be to create a similar or worse situation and get Obama and/or Dems blamed for it. Don't kid yourself. The only way to overcome this level of stupidity is to get the Dems blamed for the same thing Unlike the official Republican party, the tea party doesn't have much to lose anymore. If the tea party gets a bad name, they'll reinvent themselves. Same ideas, same people, different name Remember the tea party isn't an actual political party. They can pop up again tomorrow.
