Then it's back to business, working to kick Teabagger/GOoPer butts out of office in 2014.

If they're willing to stick the knife in that deeply, then I no longer have a problem with gloating.

Although, to be accurate, I don't think we should see this as a win for ourselves but as a loss for the GOP. But that's semantics.

Gloat on!

They don't have to vote. Boehner is still under the teabaggers' control. He'll just say nope, not voting.

The boss clown Cruz said that he wouldn't block this.

James Lankford R-Oklahoma just said that he has no doubt that Boehner will bring this to the floor.

in the attempt to cram "austerity" down the throats of the American people until the people who control our supposedly elected politicians get their way about it.

I think the vast majority of people, regardless of political beliefs, know D.C. politics is screwed up, but they are at their wit's end on what can be done about it.

I used to gloat but found it is non-productive, alienates people I might have to actually accomplish something with (gee, what a novel thought in US politics), and that it can easily come back to bite you in the ass. There's nothing worse than a sore winner so I attempt to be gracious in victory.

I don't trust this yet.
Until the government is back on, I don't think so.

I just think there has been too much crap that has happened for me to feel any sort of elation.

I think that the Tea Party / Republicans are ruining the country and needs to be completely put down. Gloating as if there is anything to be actually happy about.

Government has been shut down causing much hardship for many. Gloating makes it look petty and too political, I rather see what else can be improved on.

Yeah, the republicans fucked themselves big-time. But, they also screwed a hell of a lot of people in the process. I'm glad the President and the Dems have been holding strong, but that doesn't change things for all the people that are losing income and/or jobs. Nor, does it change the fact that this epic act of stupidity has cost this country hundreds of millions of dollars, nor will it regain the respect this idiocy has cost us with the rest of the world. Gloat? I don't think so. I am sick to my stomach over this.
