Overheard today re Maryville

"She refused to testify."
"It was consensual."
"B*tch needs to get over it-it was two years ago."
That's not the worst of it and it's coming from a small group from Maryville living on campus-the campus he lives on right now.

Most are disgusted but these few are proudly defending him.

That's nowhere close to Maryville, his hometown.

ETA: I re-read what you wrote and it makes more sense now, I think. You mean there is a contingent of students at UCM from Maryville that are familiar with the rapist and the case, and they are making apologies for him, right?

I work on the UCM campus and overheard it. I couldn't say anything since I was at work.

The most disturbing thing? All women defending him on campus .
