They Sang at their Own Funeral.....

Proving once again that they are intellectually clueless, beaming GOP Congress Members piously sang "Amazing Grace" last night for the benefit of the media after they once again failed to act to save the nation from default. Apparently these dimwits did not understand they were singing the classic American funeral song written by an ex-slavetrader who repented of his wretched behavior.

It is becoming increasingly apparent just how dangerous it is to have people governing our nation without the capacity for rational thought or the ability to critically analyze situations.

its a beautiful song written by a slave trader (wretch like me) in 19th century singing about how lost he was -but finally he saw how blind he was about the inhumanity of the slave trade. I think the movie Amazing Grace about the relentless movement led by Wilberforce and Prime Minister William Pitt to end the British slave trade in the 19th Century is an unsung Classic-highly recommend especially to this crowd. You will never think of the song in the same light once you know the history
