today, take his lumps, and it gets passed by mostly Dems and enough Repubs.

As was probably his plan all along.

Wallstreet journal all over gop this morning. Boehner has no choice. Hopefully durations are sufficient for rational discussions as we have financial issues to be resolved.

They take it for granted that the money-bags on Wall Street can continue to control their beast, the Republican Party. Problem is, the beast is showing some independence, and the old-school Republicans may not be able to control it now. They have no clue what to do (the money bags), but they still have tremendous faith in the system (even if they bemoan it).
