Is it possible that we can get reform of the media in 2014?
I suspect Dem's will get House back--probably by more than the 17 we need (according to article on front page from Business Week).
So I have to ask: Are you sick of hate radio yet?
You have to be. No choices. No differing opinions. No musical options. Just the same ol bland cluster f*** of the same s*** every day. Hate, Hate, Hate. It has to get to you on occasion. Do you go to get your car fixed and hear the mechanic has Limpbutt echoing all over the garage, or some other sewer filth claiming Obama could be impeached for the shutdown? I did. Today. Or, do you come up to a stop light and hear the turd in other lane with some other white-wing filth blasting away blaming Obama for something?
I know you have these or similar experiences on occasion. And you have to be sick of it. I'm certain of it.
I kinda feel its time to go on offense. I'll likely be working for someone that runs against a repuke. Not sure who though. But in meantime, since things are in our favor(at the moment), we need to fix something while there may be a potential window of opportunity. The President is going to push for immigration reform as soon as budget is done--shoving right down the repukes throat--as he should. But if we really want our democracy back (or some portion of it), we need to make a push for media reform--in time for a new Congress led by Speaker Pelosi.
We need to have our airwaves back. I can't hear Ed's radio show, or anyone for that fact in Nor-Cal. Its all "hate radio and sports." We need diversity. Its part of our culture. But hearing the sewer dwellers from hannity to limpbutt is not diversity.
So I ask again: are you sick of hate radio yet?
