Breaking on CNN from Rep. Charlie Dent: House Likely To Take Up Senate Bill, Will Likely Pass...

Just now on CNN - the major news tonight. GOP Congressman Charlie Dent said that from everything he has heard, Boehner will bring the Senate compromise to a vote in the House tomorrow, where it will likely pass with majority Democratic support, and with a majority of GOP members voting against it.

If all 200 Democrats vote for it, only 17 out of 232 Republicans are needed for it to pass.

The Tea Party caucus is so barking mad that Boehner could find himself in a remake of Brooks v. Sumner:

it would be for ostensibly doing the right thing.

Then again, he chose his minions, not us.

I did not blog about it here, for obvious reasons. But it was buried in a NYT story.

In my own discussions with these type of people, they become physically aggressive when frustrated (which usually means I am making them think, and that hurts).

Fisty cuffs

Fisticuffs

Three uses are correct, the phrase goes back to the 17th century, England. I am sorry I am using the more literate form of the idiom.

And I am done with this discussion.

You're also wrong as far as I can tell. Feel free to link me to information saying otherwise if you like. I freely admit I am sometimes wrong. Others, not so much.
