It's Over: Boehner has agreed to kick Cruz in the balls & step up and do the adult thing

The office of Speaker Boehner told the office of Majority Leader Harry Reid's on Tuesday night that they would be willing to send them a "message" so that the procedural process of getting a debt limit and government funding bill could move faster.

The communication between the two was first reported by Salon's Brian Beutler https://twitter.com/brianbeutler/status/390279686712221696 and was confirmed by an aide to the Huffington Post. https://twitter.com/samsteinhp/status/390289969396584449 The aide said that the news was delivered after House Republican leadership failed to move their own bill to resolve the dual matters.

A message is a legislative vehicle that if sent from Boehner to the Senate would allow Reid to skip one cloture vote. This would ensure that if one Senator wanted to gum up the works, he or she could only force 30 hours of consideration.

A request for comment to Boehner's office was not immediately returned, though if the news is true, it is a signal that the Speaker knows the time for staring down the Senate is up.

Now, House Republican lawmakers and aides are saying they're ready to throw in the towel and accept a Senate deal:

And I can't wait to hear the teabagger cries for republican blood if it's true.

This whole farce may have severely damaged the US standing in the world, but I hope that one good thing may come out of it, and that is the severing of the unholy alliance between the chamber of commerce types and the teabagging know-nothing fundies.

Under H.Res. 368, either Cantor or Boehner could bring a bill to the floor, if I understand correctly......

The TP crowd will eat him alive.

If he doesn't deliver the goods, he is finished. The voters will send him packing next year.

at that point, there will still be a few billion on hand cash-wise but that won't last long, there will be some money coming in on a daily basis but and as soon as there is more needed to go out than comes in, we're a piece of burnt soggy toast financially and then the shit hits the fan so to speak... technically. But the alleged deadline is important because that is the day after which nothing is certain and we have only the cash in fist option.

Or so I have heard it explained by many over the past couple hours watching a bunch of news shows where it was described in detail as I did above.

It sucks either way.
