It's the threat off a rating downgrade that's finally moved the needle

The GOP has been getting beaten up "a little bit" over the last 2 weeks, but not nearly as much as they should have been.

With the clock ticking down, I think it's the prospect that tomorrow morning's news would be led with a drop in the US's credit rating (and the tangible financial blame that would accrue to the GOP), that's made them fold their house of cards.

About fucking time. Any legit ratingagency would have done that long ago.
