While Congress shouts at the top of their lungs, throws a temper tantrum, but will likely compromise to open the government and raise the debt ceiling the real problem that has been slowly killing this country for thirty years is quietly continuing its stranglehold on us yet again. For the second year in a row Social Security raises will be among the lowest in decades. Education, wages, and now Social Security. I guess they figure they won't have to make cuts to programs if all they do is never increase funding to compensate for inflation.
