Reds States Hurting Most From Government Shut Down.

Northern red states and Southern red states losing the most during shut down. There are more large military bases and DOD facilities in the red states compared to blue states. And southern red states have more defense facilities than northern red states. So the furloughs are effecting their citizens the most.

So Republicans are generally hurting their own voters the most. And the longer this shutdown goes on the worse it will get. Red state voters hate the government the most and it is their own bread and butter in many cases.

Addendum Anecdote: In Colorado some of the worst fires were in areas that voted mostly GOP. And in the recent floods the truly hardest hit areas are in the GOP red zone. In fact one area hit hard in Weld County is one of the areas who want to secede from the state of Colorado. NE Colorado is very red in its voting patterns. And the have a lot of wells and there has been contamination caused by the flood.
