Freeper comment about Cruz's poll numbers speaks volumes

Responding to this from a news article:

The senator's poll numbers have taken a hit amid the shutdown fight. A Gallup survey released Thursday showed that 26 percent have a favorable view of Cruz, while 36 percent see him unfavorably.

called to take part in a poll so she doesnt believe they reflect people like her.

I've actually heard people on DU say similar things. I pointed her to the wiki page for stratified sampling. If you are unfamiliar with polling, its something you should check out. Most big polling organizations use a form of stratified sampling. Its the best way to ensure you have as many of the main different parts of the population you are researching accounted for and addressed in your poll. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stratified_sampling

Though she actually said, "I live in a rather special world. I only know one person who voted for Nixon. Where they are I don't know. They're outside my ken. But sometimes when I'm in a theater I can feel them."

We all live in our own bubbles.

In other news, Freeperville residents shocked by Romney loss! "How could this happen? Everyone I knew said he was going to win!", stated Derp McDerpmeister, a long-time denizen of Free Republic.
