Washington is about to get weirder
What’s happening on Capitol Hill is bizarre. But, if the organizers of two upcoming events can be believed, Washington is set to experience a level of weirdness that exceeds anything Congress is delivering.
Starting tomorrow, a group called Ride for the Constitution plans a “trucker shutdown” of Washington. The stated aim is to “restore our Constitutional Republic.” They expect to get started with that by slowing down traffic with a convoy of trucks. A person representing himself as one of the organizers told USA Today that they planned to “arrest” members of Congress. The group has since disavowed him. However, the actual leaders of the demonstration are strange enough.
For example, Zeeda Andrews, a co-organizer and high-profile spokesperson for the trucker protest, is on record as saying that President Obama is actually Osama bin Laden. She also promotes a lot of other ridiculous conspiracy theories, such as the one about RFID chips being implanted in people as part of Obamacare. In case you don’t know, that has been thoroughly debunked.
Not strange enough for you? On Nov. 19, attorney and activist Larry Klayman, founder of Judicial Watch, is organizing a rally that he says will force President Obama to resign from office.
