Glenn Beck, Mike Lee to ‘clean up’ D.C. memorials

Conservative radio host Glenn Beck will join Sen. Mike Lee alongside the tea party to “clean up” D.C. on Saturday.

“No signs — just bring your rakes, gloves, and trash bags! We’re here to work,” Beck said in an email sent to conservative activists on Thursday, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

The event, which is being called “‘Fix Up DC’ Day of Service,” will take place in Washington, D.C. on Saturday morning. According to a release from FreedomWorks, attendees will gather on the West Lawn of the U.S. Capitol to hear speakers before heading to the National Mall where they will “clean up the monuments that the President shut down.”

“We will clean up the national monuments, whether they’re open or closed,” the e-mail states.

The conservative grassroots group announced that in addition to Beck and Lee (R-Utah), speakers will also include FreedomWorks President Matt Kibbe, FreedomWorks Outreach Director Deneen Borelli and Tea Party Patriots’ Jenny Beth Martin.

Beck previously held a rally in 2010 with former vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin in front of the Lincoln Memorial called “Restore Our Honor,” which reportedly drew tens of thousands of attendees.

since these facilities are CLOSED (meaning no access since insurance and lawsuit and all of that) they may not be allowed to be on property which will neatly fit into their screaming meemie rants about how the evil guvmint is now keeping them from even cleaning up the properties.
