They put this up today, probably to relieve traffic.
Much better than Kaiser's. This doesn not include any subsidies you would qualify for. You have to go the entire application route to see that.

I think a lot of people would like to window shop before making a decision. This should help

(14,881 posts)I fill everything out, hit calculate, nothing happens.
At least this calculator makes a point of mention you use MAGI, not gross income. Even at gross income, I qualify for free bronze according to another calculator that actually worked!

You need to stop lying to people just because you hate ACA and Obama and the idea of fair, equitable health policy in this country.

(51,666 posts)I've been doing it. I'd LOVE to apply, but CoveredCA is still broken. I have the pdf of the paper application if all else fails. I know exactly what plan I want and what my cost will be after the subsidy. That's how I decided.

(22,165 posts)Without entering any personal info (just my age, state and county) ... knowing I would not qualify for any "help" ... it appears my employer sponsored insured is as bad as I have perceived it to be. For ~60 dollars more (than my contribution) per month I could purchase the exact same plan.
Humanist_Activist
(7,670 posts)and the difference is even smaller than yours, about 10 dollars a month or so.

(28,876 posts)In fact, some of my coworkers would be much better off without our coverage. We're talking $4800 per year better on a family making less than $50K. That's significant.

(5,477 posts)For just me, under 49, the cheapest plan was $160. The cheapest gold level plan was $280. This would be doable if I were to encounter hard times for a little while. Certainly better than the $850 COBRA coverage!
