I can't vouch for the accuracy, though it seemed to figure mine at about what I would expect- though not nearly as low as I hoped for

I fill everything out, hit calculate, nothing happens.

At least this calculator makes a point of mention you use MAGI, not gross income. Even at gross income, I qualify for free bronze according to another calculator that actually worked!

heart's content for a few weeks now. Got my account, but can't get logged in to apply, lol.

You need to stop lying to people just because you hate ACA and Obama and the idea of fair, equitable health policy in this country.

I've been doing it. I'd LOVE to apply, but CoveredCA is still broken. I have the pdf of the paper application if all else fails. I know exactly what plan I want and what my cost will be after the subsidy. That's how I decided.

It states "Final price quotes based on your individual circumstances are available only after you complete a Marketplace application."

What about that official, government issued statement is the OP lying about?

Without entering any personal info (just my age, state and county) ... knowing I would not qualify for any "help" ... it appears my employer sponsored insured is as bad as I have perceived it to be. For ~60 dollars more (than my contribution) per month I could purchase the exact same plan.

In fact, some of my coworkers would be much better off without our coverage. We're talking $4800 per year better on a family making less than $50K. That's significant.

For just me, under 49, the cheapest plan was $160. The cheapest gold level plan was $280. This would be doable if I were to encounter hard times for a little while. Certainly better than the $850 COBRA coverage!
