He doesn't even look like a real person.
Maybe he is just a big carboard cutout with someone standing behind him moving his arms and legs.
I'm starting to really dislike the guy - just on general principals. He just looks and acts like there is something seriously wrong with him.

(21,115 posts)he is just trying to remain Speaker of the House....
It's just a job to him and he is fighting to keep it. He cannot empathize therefore how that fight effects anyone else is irrelevant to him. They do not exist to him. He is not cut out of the cloth of Heroes...
The people he chose to align himself with are also sociopaths...the Teabaggers. They also do not care how their actions effect others...in fact...they are seeking utter chaos because it fits their "Christian" narrative that we are in "The End of Days". The only way for that to be true is that other people should be in agony for not agreeing with them....because it's part of their "story". The non-believers should be punished...They expect all out Madd Max from Thunderdome to signal the Second Coming of Jesus Christ. If these things aren't happening...then we are not in the "End of Days" and Jesus is not near. Michelle Bachmann even admitted it. She thinks she is going to be "favored" by Jesus for causing chaos.

(18,870 posts)But I live with these religious crazies and it's more complicated than that.
These people have been indoctrinated all of their lives. The real problem at the bottom of all of this shit is that they are all just plain scared to death. They are afraid to question anything. The devil and fire and brimstone are very real to them. And they have been pujnished pretty severely most of their lives for thinking for themselves.
Mostly I just find them to be sad. But I certainly don't want to have to live with their values. Thier values are just plain looney tunes.

(21,115 posts)In short, Dominionist theology believes that Christians are called to take "dominion" over every aspect of our culture and use them to create God's kingdom on Earth in order to bring about the return of Jesus Christ. And their method for gaining "dominion" is through something called the "Seven Mountains Mandate," which seeks to place Christians at the top of seven distinct spheres that shape our culture: (1) Business; (2) Government; (3) Media; (4) Arts and Entertainment; (5) Education; (6) Family; and (7) Religion. -

Here it is straight from their mouths..
Oh yeah....Sarah Palin is definitely a follower of the 7 Mountains Mandate....that is what that prayer you saw them have over her was about. They thought they were going to "take" another Mountain Mandate through her. But there are many many many accolytes of this ideology.
