To push him into it.. I have had the feeling a bit before he wants us to take responsibility in our support for something, thus giving him better ..what's the word I am looking for here.. help me out.??

He talked about it either in a 2008 campaign speech, or his acceptance speech. I forget.
So that he would do something because people wanted it. Like he also needed ...evidence.. in the face of real or possible opposition.. Just thinking out loud...
