If memory serves George Bush ran over us like a freight train. So what's next?

For those who have either a short lifetime behind them or short memories let me remind them that George Bush ran over this country like a freight train. He took us into unwarranted wars, he opened the national vaults to raiders of ever sort. Real wages fell, the banks robbed us, more and more people went to prison and more yet fell out of the the economic system. Local police turned into today's militia, armed like infamous third-world-countries of recent note. Laws fell to enable the great debacle and in the last minutes of his administration the rats left the sinking ship. We the people were trampled near to death by that Republican hit squad.

But that was then and this is now. And right now that horrible freight train has been brought to a stop. I mean a complete hault; the Republicans have lost their power.

Who in their right mind would ever give it back to them?

There can be no capitulation to the Republicans now, there can be no Grand Bargain, there can be no bartering very temporary reprieve from the current insanity for the fundamental need to put an end to this nonsense. This is the opportunity, Now is the time. There can be no backing down.
